Vapes burst into the scene a few years ago as a discreet way to smoke cigarettes.
Today, the “pens” have made their mark the wellness sector as a way to get your your dose of essential oils on the go.
Brands like KININ and MONQ have introduced the concept with essential diffuser breathing devices that work similarly to smoking vapes, but you don’t inhale them into your lungs.
Matt Harrigan, founder of KININ, claims essential oils became usable in vape form as aromatherapy supports felt it was necessary to make the practice portable.
Harrigan explains each of KININ’s oil blends emit vapor that is inhaled through the mouth and out the nose, but not the lungs, allowing the product to almost instantly cross the blood-brain barrier.
Unlike diffusers, vapable essential oils require less material to produce the desired effect and users can measure the amount of oil they consume based on the number of puffs they take.
