Citrus Mimosa Body Bar & Hydrating Body Lotion

I received a set of Beautycounter Citrus Mimosa Body Bar and Body Lotion as a gift for Christmas from a very thoughtful friend of mine. Now, before I get into my response and reaction to these two products, I must admit, we've all heard enough of the hyped up claims about body care products to the point that we are all probably pretty numb to the voices. That is certainly why I was so surprised at the radical new experience of using a product that bypasses the use of superlatives, and surpasses the most assertive claims of other products with such an underspoken simplicity about something otherwise so basic. In short, so now that I have discovered what soap should be... what the piffle was I using before?

With a light but penetrating scent of citrus that lingers gently, this bar of soap doesn't give up! Just roll it in your hands a few times, rub it on your wet body, and it lathers, and lathers, and lathers, for infinity- and beyond. Even more amazing is how clean it feels as little bumps and blemishes seem to just fall away unable to maintain a grip on the incredibly slippery surface of my new skin. And yes, it is new skin, soft and smooth, elastic, supple, hydrated and moist- certainly not oily, or tacky, or filmy... What is this wonderful substance, and why are people living without it?

My personal recommendation is to wipe down with a linen wash cloth, while still in the shower, give yourself a good rinse, and then... try the body lotion. Just a light once over, rub it in and rinse, you'll feel like floating through your day. And that is no hype, I truly felt different on the outside, to my inside, my skin was alive like it was breathing for the first time. If that's not sensational enough, the feeling comes with a gentle scent that poofs here and there as you go about your regular day invigorating you with refreshing splashes of citrus scent that waft wistfully by with a clean aroma unlike anything else.
